Canada is becoming a tech hub. Thanks, Donald Trump!

US companies are going to keep hiring foreign tech workers, even as the Trump administration makes doing so more difficult. For a number of US companies that means expanding their operations in Canada, where hiring foreign nationals is much easier.

Recode is connected to Vox isn't it? And Vox is far left.

So Progressive Socialists of the regressive left think more tech jobs going to Americans and less to Canadians is a "Thank You Trump."

I guess if I was American I'd agree with them but I'm not.

See because if you read the last paragraph they're only claiming American companies are sending their foreign workers here, as far as what's actually happening.

Although, they also claim they know of companies that say they are "thinking about expanding to Canada."

Why, since when does he do any sort of research? ;)

Many companies are setting up divisions in Canada in order to skirt Trumps' bigoted policy with respect to trained workers that the US can't provide.

I haven't seen him in a long time. Makes me wonder if the OPP finally followed through on their efforts to oppress him and have disappeared him to their secret facility in Russia.

It's Baffin Island where they send the dissidents.

Nowhere does it say fewer of these jobs going to Canadians. I mean if you could use your brain you would understand that it doesn’t even make sense for you to claim that a company moving its overseas work to Canada somehow takes a job away from Canadians. Even it that company brings its own foreign worker to Canada fill that foreign job it also brought to Canada it hasn’t taken away any work from Canadians, it just brings more money into the Canadian economy and creates more spinoff jobs for Canadians in the general economy and perhaps even in their company as their office grows.

These are jobs that are in critical shortage in the labour in Canada and around the world. In fact if you read down to the bottom it actually says this is creating jobs not taking away jobs.
