Boys will be boys. If I were 19 again and just won a world championship, I might be in enough of a celebratory mood to be kicked off a plane. They shouldn't be criticized too harshly for enjoying what will be, for many of them, the high point of their lives.

That being said, come one boys, either stay an extra day and get it out of you, or be on your best behaviour because the airlines these days won't put up with tomfoolery.

They should start issuing swastikas for passing stewardess school

Seriously, I'm sure theyw ere too loud, but at least throw off for being too loud, not endangering the flight. Sheesh.

Perhaps not endangering the flight insofar as to potentially cause it to crash, but you get 30 unruly, amped-up, physically fit guys and lock them in a tin can for several hours and they could very well endanger the other passengers or cause damage to the plane, neither of which can be tolerated at 30,000 feet.

Air travel is the safest form of travel there is, and it's this very no-nonsense attitude that keeps it that way.

Pain the ass--yes. Irritating--perhaps, especially if you happen to be a Canadian. A threat to safety--not buying it.

Like I siad--I have no problem ejecting them for rowdy behaviour, but it's not a safety issue of any signficance.

I guess you and I have a different idea of what consitutes a safety issue on an aircraft.

Probably. I've developed an allergy to being made "safe" by others over the past few years, so I'm a little sensitive on the issue.

I would have been annoyed if I worked at the airport and had to deal with these guys.

You think our boys weren't deep into the beers last night? Most of 'em are of age in Canada.
