I find it really insulting that they'd want to build a mosque close to GroundZero.

I'm not being racist or anything but its a major diss for the Americans in my opinion.

What do you find ridiculous? That stating that it's uber diss for the Americans? Of course it is. How would we like it if say some random country flew a plane into the CN Tower and than building something represents their country close to where it happened? Its degrading if you ask me.

As much as they frustrate me at times, I stand with my American cousins that protest the mosque at 1 WTC. This goes beyond a slap in the face, and has utter disregard for the casualties of 9/11. These Muslim groups that want this built are oblivious to the backlash they could potentially face / might already be starting to face.

Also, kudos to Trump for wanting to brin and end to it through purchase. I kinda like Trump. Very smart man indeed.

I have my moments when I hate the Americans (like when we lost the world juniors to them) but that doesn't mean that its ridiculous whats going on with them. Like it or not they are basically our brother. And in their time of crisis we help them; and hopefully when were in a crisis they will return that help.

Walk in their shoes for a few miles than think what your saying about my countries ally.

The People building the "Mosque" are Americans. Why don't you support them.

aka, you missed the point of my post. I wasn't saying that you should diss them because they are Americans. I was saying that your support of "Americans" was actually not to support "Americans".

Good advice. What do you think muslims should say about their lands being invaded and their families being murdered?

Think they have more to be angry about then a bunch of pissed of Americans angry a mosque is being built close to ground zero?

sandorski: I know that they want to build a mosque there; I'm trying to say that it wouldn't feel or be right because of the people that died there. I'm not saying you don't care but whatever. This topic wasn't meant for us to fight with each other.

DerbyX: If you go back far enough in the sands of time you'll see that the Muslims and Americans have been going back and forth with this. It started in WWI and now its happening again. I don't want to start a fight over this, but bloodshed has happened everywhere. and sadly its not going to stop.

Final comment.

That's not what happened. Some "country" didn't do anything, and a mosque doesn't represent the men that committed that atrocity.

if the mosque had some sort of memorial for the 911 victims, and a statement that denounces the actions of their fundamentalist extremists - a statement that calls for religious tolerance for christians - a statment that calls for peace between christians and muslims - a statement that calls for intolerance toward violence.

And most importantly an apology, its my belief that an apology ought to be written to the benefit of the person recieving the apology, so they had better leave their egos at home, and write a damn good one.

if all this was part of the deal, then i thinks its a damn shame if the mosque doesnt get built

Good for Trump,

If I was an wealthy investor like Trump I'd buy the lot and build an inter-faith cultural centre dedicated to the victims of 911.

Which is likely his plan.
