My point was, while many Japanese may see the Hiroshima bombing as unjustifiable, many Americans may also see the Japanese sneak attack on the US as unjustifiable as well.

Can't forget who started the mess in the first place.

Although the Hiroshima bombing may have been "drastic", I believe it saved a lot of lives in the long run, both Japanese and American.

The atomic bombs, at minimum, saved American lives. I really could care less about any other consideration in war. I'm happy that the Japanese surrendered but if they hadn't I'd rather the US have nuked every last one of their cities before we wasted one single life trying to invade.

Apologize? These guys started the war with the US, and then managed somehow to be eveni more brutal than the frickin' Nazis in its prosecution.

Adn what's the first thing Japan does when it gets its military back? That's right, join the Iraq invasion--another slaughter. They haven't leanred a thing.

In WWII, cities often were legitimate military targets. Hiroshima included.

Oh, you mean like the Japanese did in cities all over Korea, Mongolia, China, and etc?

They never apologized for the rape of Nanking and they go so far as to now deny that Japan ever even had troops in China.
