Rush Limbaugh leader of the Republican Party...

At least someone is standing up and taking on the Obama policies, seems the rest of the Republican party has just given up.

Well that's understandable as they seem to have this mindset that it's Anti-American to quetion the president. I have to give them props for being unbiased in their idiocy.

Republican popularity is already strongly in decline in the wake of Bush, Chaney and other ultra-right nuts' influence. The LAST thing the Republicans need is to have MORE fascists lining up to marginalize the party. This sort of trend, if it continues, ought to ensure another round of Obamamania in 2012.

Frankly, Limbaugh scares the bejesus out of me. He appeals to the extremists, pro-militia types that are so rampant in the US. The Republican party would do well to distance itself as far as possible from this zealot/fanatic.

After Obama is finished remaking America in his vision, it won't be 10 years, but 2 or 3 generations to recover. ROTFL

I find the Rush Limbaugh show very entertaining. I am not sure how the word "fascist" would describe him. He certainly isn't a fringe leader, since he has positive numbers from about a third of the American populace, at least I think so. Maybe I should look up the poll where I saw that...

Please. If the GOP thinks Rush is their way out of the wilderness, then they're doing more and harder drugs than Rush does.

I was watching part of his "speech" on Saturday (which was more a scatterbrained attempt at partisan warfare and ego-stroking) and I heard nothing that is any different than Republicans have been saying since the CLinton years: Democrats hate America, want to tax and spend it to death, Liberals are the enemy, and so on.

Much higher than a third it appears. Also a big gender gap. There was also a Gallup poll somewhere, but I don't have the link to that one.

I enjoyed watching the speech, but I do agree that it was scatterbrained. I think the man might have a touch of the ADD. He goes off on tangents all the time.

Actually I like the part where he states; "I'm one of those greedy small business owners that makes over $250000 a year. ... You've become the enemy."

This is very true.

The economic engine of the United States is the small business, and now Obama want's to tax them to death.

This is very counterproductive to an economic recovery, and only a prelude to more layoffs and higher unemployment nationwide, driving the U.S. economy futher into recession. (or depression)

So how have the Republicans helped the small business owner in the preceeding eight years? They've done nothing to curb the cost of health insurance premiums which make it harder for small business to thrive, among other things not done.

Rather, the GOP has forgotten about the middle class in the years since Bush in their efforts to solidify electoral victories mainly with the help of Chrisitan fundamentalists who don't care about the economy or anything else save for foetuses, ensuring homosexuals have no rights, and the second coming of Christ.

Cut taxes.

The recession of the 1980, President Reagan cut taxes bring the U.S. out of the recession. It worked.

Well time will tell if Obama's plan works or sends the U.S. economy into a tail spin.

If you owned a small business earning $250,000 how would you first start to cut back? Lay off employees, stop spending on new equipment or renovations. How does that boost the economy??
