$1:
4/7 If Ukraine manages to hold the Russians off for 10 days, then the Russians will have to enter negotiations. Because they have no money, weapons, or resources. Nevertheless, they are indifferent about the sanctions.

How the hell did they think they were going to sack a country the population of Canada in 10 days?!??! The sheer hubris!

They are Russians. But I repeat your point.

Germany and Italy won't be able to buy oil and gas. But then again, Germany and Italy won't be able to buy oil and gas. :(

Scape Scape:

That was very interesting. I'm assuming the points in English are a translation of the document shown in Russian?

The anti-nuclear power campaign that caused German utility costs to spike and made them hostage to Russian gas has to be one of the largest domestic policy blunders any major country has made in the last several decades. The Germans had to have known that the solar & wind were in no way capable of replacing nuclear yet they did it anyway in order to placate the unthinking environmental movement. And German CO2 emissions are way up anyway, as they've gone back to using more coal fuel to replace what they took away by shutting down nuclear.

Heads should really roll in Germany, especially if it's found out later that this encouraged Putin's actions in Ukraine if he's been assuming all along there would be no European backlash given German dependency on Russian fuels, that the Germans would block any harsh actions against Russia in order to protect their provider.

Scape Scape:

Wild if it's truly the case. To invade a country as large as Ukraine with only ten days worth of ammo and logistics is madness. Even post-Soviet Union, people were afraid of the Red Army, but it really seems like it's being exposed as a paper tiger. Soldiers surrendering too easily. Tanks running out of gas. Transport planes being shot down.

It really looks like the Russians half-assed this invasion and are paying a steep price in men, machinery, and now with the SWIFT expulsions, money.
