If you lived in Edmonton in 2001 you would have noticed housing prices were much less than they are now (much less) why didn't you take advantage of them? The Calgary market was in the same boat, cheap in 2001 expensive in 04. I know house prices in Winnipeg are now more than what they were in Edmonton or Calgary in 2001, perhaps even 2004.

It's not like you can just buy a house with no money. I took my Alberta dollars and spent them in Manitoba where I got a much better deal, and I'm much happier here around friends and family.

I dont like baseball...there is no body checking allowed. It isnt a sport unless there is a chance to flatten someone

The legs healing kinda slowly now. Looks kinda like you'd expect. They have started calling me frankie (for frankenstein) because the stitch pattern is eerily similar.

Still got some open wound areas even after a month. That'll learn me!

I'm sorry to read that. I've just posted I was seriously thinking about adopting 2 more ferrets from the Toronto Humane Society but they have been snapped up since yesterday. Ferrets are so cute they get taken so fast.

I think so. There are actually alot of members from western Canada on this forum, myself included. To me there isn't a feeling of "anti-west" specifically, but it depends on what the discussion is about. Sometimes it leans towards "anti-east" or anti-something else. There's a pretty diverse crowd on here, many with very strong beliefs and opinions. Makes for some interesting discussions! Don't take this thread as an example of the rest of the forum.

I think that the hats kind of suck myself. If they were going to do this sort of thing they should have gone with the traditional RCMP/state trooper sort of head cover instead. They look a lot better and wouldn't have generated so many comments about how silly the cowboy hats look.

Calgary is unfortunately a deeply silly town sometimes. Next thing you know they'll have the cops tucking their pant cuffs into the top of their boots just so they can all run around like Cap'n Kirk.

It's so true. When ever I go to the country bar, you can pick out the people who are from the city and from the country so easily.
