As for the Wildrose, perhaps this iteration will be a kinder, gentler party after Jean gets to put his stamp on it - but under Smith it was home to the worst examples of the Klein government - religious nutjobs, racists and sexists. They were a typical party for 1912, not 2012.

Still, given that they rejected Smith's human rights policy last fall and had to be dragged onside for GSAs (as did the PCs), I doubt they have changed all that much.

I never called him a liar - he said he voted Wildrose, which most definitely is a conservative party. He was simply too thick or too drunk to understand.

FYI, telling someone to GFY is an insult to everyone I know. Even amongst the few conservatives I talk to. Same with labelling them with a derogatory nickname (at least amongst the righties here on CKA).

I could point out that the biggest problem with the Alberta PC's is that they're good ol' boy corporatists, just like the ones that made bank with the Chretien government that these rotten little Liberal assfuckers still genuflect towards. They don't like that, pointing out when the gravy train was running in their favour and directly into the pockets of those who were identical in morals and ethics to the late Klein/Stelmach/Redfraud era PC's. It bothers them to be reminded of how their own saints tend to fall in disgrace as much as any Tory that came down the trail ever did. Like no one's allowed to mention McGuinty/Wynne in this thread, according to Bootfucker, even though with their own spending and tax patterns that they're proud of the Alberta Liberals would do the exact same 'successful' thing that's turned Ontario into a debt-ridden shell of what it used to be. That's the Liberal idea of trying something different, importing the most failed policies in Canadian political history and implementing them somewhere else. But they're Liberals so this is the shit they're naturally so proud of.

Given what was said to me by a couple of guys who said that I deserved to lose my house for voting 'wrong', even though I've said multiple times that I haven't voted PC since the late 1990's, I feel no guilt at all about making a nuclear-level comment like that one I made. Not on my worst day as a human being would I have ever hoped for anyone, regardless of their politics, to go through what I've gone through in the past few months. Therefore no shame and no apology, ever, for that comment. All it proved all along, going by the vitriol and visceral contempt these two creatures have aimed at people like me in this situation, is that no one genuinely hates like a Liberal/liberal can. It's like dealing with someone who joined up with ISIs or Westboro Baptist, in that their righteousness is indistinguishable from madness.
