And this is why I can't take the UN seriously anymore, as much as I love the ideals behind it.

And this is why I can't take the UN seriously anymore, as much as I love the ideals behind it.

It's because good programs like WHO or UNICEF don't get any press that people feel that way. The UN does a lot of good, but the times they fall flat on their face is what people remember.

They did. But his rules of engagement on the UN is something I actually appreciate with this government. The UN--well, in particualrly the General Assembly--is prone to frequent bouts of dingbattery, so limiting exposure and engaging on specific terms is a good idea, in my books.
