The Canadian government has reaffirmed its refusal to denote Jerusalem as the capital of Israel on Canadian passports, rejecting a request by a Canadian citizen residing in Israel...
Montreal resident Ellen Tannenbaum told the Canadian Jewish News that her daughter applied for a Canadian passport and asked that it list the birthplace of her child as Jerusalem, Israel, but Embassy officials refused. Canadian Embassy spokeswoman Natalie Amar confirmed that this is Canadas policy because the status of Jerusalem has not been definitely determined
Due to the present political situation, Jerusalem must stand alone. It cannot be entered in conjunction with Israel or any other country name.
